About Us

American Elevator installs and services custom elevators and lifts across the Southeast with disciplined workmanship, licensed technicians, and long-term accountability built into every project.

What We Do

American Elevator designs, installs, and services custom home elevators, stair lifts, wheelchair lifts, LULA systems for low-rise commercial elevators, and dumbwaiters. Every system is planned around the space, the user, and the long-term demands of the property. Our work supports new construction, retrofits, and accessibility upgrades across residential and light commercial environments, carried out by a team where several technicians have spent more than 20 years doing exactly this work. We also provide ongoing maintenance for the equipment we install, keeping performance consistent over time.

Built in the Southeast. Serving the Southeast.

American Elevator started as a family-owned business in 1997 and spent nearly three decades building a reputation across Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina through steady workmanship and consistent follow-through. That history of local service is now backed by the Cibes Lift Group, a global elevator manufacturer with operations in the US, Sweden, and China, bringing added stability in manufacturing, parts availability, and long-term support without changing the team or the standards customers have come to expect.

Our Suwanee headquarters and showroom anchor the region, with a second location in Seneca, SC serving the Upstate South Carolina market. Together, these locations keep projects moving and service responsive across our full coverage area. We work within a practical service radius so the team that installs your system can stay accountable for maintaining it over time.

The Standards We Bring to Every Project

Installing an elevator or lift is a long-term decision. The team behind it matters just as much as the equipment itself.

  • No Subcontractors. Ever.

Every installation is completed by employed, state-licensed technicians. The person measuring your project and the person completing the installation work for the same company and follow the same standards. That consistency reduces risk, protects your home or building, and keeps accountability clear.

  • We Service What We Install

If we install your system within our service radius, we remain your long-term support team. Our 1-year labor and 3-year parts warranty reflects that commitment. Preventive maintenance and a targeted four-day turnaround goal help keep performance steady and downtime controlled.

  • We Turn You Down Before We Let You Down

Not every project is the right fit for every solution. If a stair lift, elevator, or wheelchair lift is not the safest or smartest option, we will tell you. Clear guidance protects your investment and ensures the final result serves you well for years to come.
